We have prepared and purchased toiletries for the homeless that are distributed to those we encounter. We plan to collaborate with other organizations to assist the homeless. (Psalm 10:17)
We were on a mission to deliver a meal to the community. Senses Dunning and Montgomery Police Officer on Maxwell Boulevard pointed us to Salvation Army. We delivered 40 sandwiches and snacks with water on July 24, 2021.

The first Youth Summer Grief Relief Program was held 10 Jul 21 at 10:00 am with speaker, LPC Alicia Crum of Parakeleo' Counseling, activities, lunch, door prizes and school supplies. It was s successful enent with over 50 adults and youth in attendance. The event was sponsored by The Junior League of Montgomery with the awarding of an EmpowHerment Scholarship. Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium Black Girl Joy Awards were received in 2022 and 2024 for this event.
We have provided small tokens of love to the elderly at our church on Mother's Day and Christmas. We have plans to prepare Valentine's Day bags. (James 1:27)
Plans are in place to host an annual luncheon for the elderly and highlight the spouses' widows and widowers to show care, support and encouragement. (Psalm 71:9)
Since 2018, my Bibi (grandmother) has provided annual high school scholarships in honor of my PawPaw, Dedrick Derrell Bowden for members of our church. He said he wasn't good in school but found he loved college. He called himself a 'dumb ol' country boy' but graduated magna cum laude from Troy University! I want to give all students a chance to feel that can go to college even if their grades are not the highest in high school. We also give congratulatory gifts to college graduates. We have plans to extend this scholarship throughout the River Region. (Luke 6:31) Scholarships were given to Lake Elam Missionary Baptist Church's graduates in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022. In 2023, the scholarship was included with the Emanon Group.
